Bio
"I’m Meghan - I’m 27 years old. I was born and raised in a small town, Harrow Ontario. When I’m not training you can find me at work. I’m a personal trainer and group fitness instructor and also work at a hospital as an Unit Aide. When I’m not at work I’m training,
I’m a triathlete and long distance runner. My coach is Lucy Charles-Barclay, and I am part of the LCB Race team. I am a very passionate, positive and motivated athlete and individual. Training for a race means lots of hours spent dedicating myself to swimming, biking and running. I love the process of training and seeing how I can push myself to be better both physically and mentally.
I was a varsity cross country athlete in College then I started my triathlon career five years ago. When I graduated from College I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to something else so I gave triathlon a try and quickly fell in love with the sport. I started with a sprint triathlon and then worked my way up to a half IronMan.
My favourite distance race is the Olympic distance and 70.3 distance. I have goals of completing my first IronMan next year with my team. My long term
goal is to continue to advance in triathlon in hopes of competing at an elite level one day."
